42,000 till september 71. It rose to 55,000 till november 1971.

Edit: Wait do you mean presence in then east Pakistan or overall size in both East and West Pakistan?

Some where around 300,000 total personnel with 190,000 being active. Unless that's 1965.

In the east it was 34,000 regulars, backed up by 11,000(?) militia.
