What's new

Mechanised Divisions Pakistan Army

Sounds pretty ghetto, T59s already are pretty old. You cant retrofit it that much.
Have to consider the engine and hull capacity.
have you seen the M60 upgrades? old tanks fitted with modern tech is a killer combo! you need force multipliers with the necessary uptodate tech.

Alzarrar upgrade is cheapest meaningful upgrade, which would increase the combat value of the Type-59/69 series. And then this Tanks should be handed over to Frontier Corps, National Guard and attached to regular Army Infantry battalions as force multiplier. Discussing anything else is fantastic and fantasyland, because Pakistan is not in the economical position neither it has the brains to do more, as discussed above.

It might be some sort of training system attached to anza in addition to thermal sight. Since if you see on poster a target drone and a image of the anza with equipment is displayed.

Thermal sight was shown before in visit by previous coas as well.

Yes, but not necessarily just “Al-Khalid-1” assembly line. The factory that produces Al-Khalid is the same one that is now producing VT4. At any time there are multiple tanks on the line at different stages of completion, All AK-1s are complete construction wise at this point, only some left at the assembly stage, there are VT4s in parallel at both construction and assembly stages on the same line.

This doesn't appear to be HIT, neither is there any HIT staff present only PA troops are visible, so this more of a PA workshop. Additionally the source of this pic (Hilal) has the picture posted in a visit to Pano Aqil, Hyderabad and Karachi. So its extremely likely this pic is from a Workshop at any of the above locations.
On further inspection, agreed. The assembly hall does not look like the one at HIT. It is too small. The tanks are also not AK-1s, instead they are likely AKs being rebuilt. We have already seen these rebuilt AKs during exercises in the Sindh region, so that also lines up.

Tender say all of these are for Long Range Thermal Weapon Sights, starting from AN/PAS - 13e.
Another tender from this month for 13,750 rails.

In between various tenders released in past few months, at least ~30k (G3&AK) are getting rails + scopes(aim points/ thermals) as PA's infantry modernization program moves forward.

How are Type 56s and G3s distributed on the squad level? Do they serve specific roles or are just issued randomly? The G3s would be great for precision shooting with magnified optics

It’s the new overhaul and maintenance facility in Bahawalpur close to the airport. It’s a pretty big facility and can be expanded to be a supplement to HIT

Nope it isn't bhawalpur as there was no mention of bhawalpur and officer visible in pic is Babar Iftikhar Core Commander Karachi. Its Karachi most likely or one of the new forward repair depos PA has built for tanks near border in southern sector.

No other place has such a facility. The Bahawalpur facility covers all of Southern Pakistan including the Karachi Corp so Babar being there is not a surprise. A Google Earth view of the facility. You can clearly see the tank test tracks.
