Although they lie to Ukraine that they can beat Russia with the given weapons the aim is not to beat Russia. They want to just bring a condition to push Russia to use tactical nukes to not to be the first user of tacticals after ww2 nuclear bombings. For example a large foothold in Kherson threatening Crimea can cause Russian tactical nuclear attack. Then for example after trump is elected or lets say selected next year he will make peace with Russia anyways with what remains from Ukraine and Usa will have a more free hand to use these types of nuclear weapons in future conflicts (against Iran etc.). Ofcourse Ukraine sacrifice will not be forgotten but they will be used as a pawn and discarded in reality. Fortunately Ukraine cannot do anything significant and the conflict will drag on eventually making Ukranian officials understand that it will be a North-South Korea type of ceasefire solution and make Zelensky accept this current realities to survive. Later on the situation can still be solved between future governments of Ukraine and Russia but Korea type of ceasefire seems to be the only realistic solution for now.

That’s a very delusional conclusion.
One, Ukraine is not the end game. Putin has made it clear he doesn’t respect the current international borders. He sees Russia is where russians live, basically all former Ex USSR states.
Well, that’s realistic to assume Russia will wage wars on Europe until the goal is reached.
Two, the possibility Russia resorts to nuclear weapons is 50:50. Lets assume Putin is so desperate and does it, he knows, Russia will certainly not be spared of retaliation.
Ukraine certainly will not surrender even the US stops weapons and money deliveries. The EU will increase spendings. Germany just provides a giant 1.4 billion USD weapons package, more than 10 times to the US.
Trump is not a Russia lover. He hates Russia as much as China.
