Avalanche traps about 150 Pakistani soldiers

i can only wish our media can make a documentary on this world class and unique effort by PA...

I wish some Chenoy, Shoaib Mansoor or National Geographic director/ producer must document this mammoth effort by humans and machines under severely hostile weather conditions. It's truly a story of undefeatable human endeavor. :pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

Had Pakistan's domestic film industry survived Zia, this would have been no problem.

I need to know what is the purpose of recovering the bodies (after an year of so), especially when it is risky and costly. The person gone is not coming back. Can anybody clarify?
Is it to just to do with emotions and some bureaucratic formalities?

^^ Why are you asking question and feeding answer at the same point?

If there were no Zia,,, today, we would be making movies in Russians.

Just go ask the eastern Europeans and east germans,, how much they love Russians for their rule!

Some belongings of those who left us at Gayari:..........

As many of these items as can be identified need to be returned to the families, which they will be, I am sure.

Any unidentified items should form part of a memorial in a suitable place.

i dont buy that......doing a documentary doesnt require anything more than a Mic, a camera and some editing software....hell, i'd do it if i had the means to be over there

A documentary is one thing, a full-fledged movie that influences the whole nation is quite another. ;)

i dont think we should profit off such a misery......it's too early for that.

documentary would be more appropriate i think though i dunno, lets see

I am not talking about profit, but putting the sacrifices made in such a dramatic way as to influence the thought processes of a whole nation. (Think about the soft power of Hollywood applied here.)

Appreciation goes to PA for persisting with the search operation.
