Features:-
1) low attack flight path (only five to seven meters above the sea surface)
2) strong anti-jamming capability of its guidance equipment
3) target ships have a very small chance of intercepting the missile.
4)The single shot hit probability of the C-802 is estimated to be as high as 98%.
5) turbojet with paraffin-based fuel engine
6) Operational range of C-802 is 120 KM, and C-802A is 180KM
7) Crusing speed 0.9 and attacking 1.6 Mach

Upgrades on the way
1)Integration of infrared guidance
2)radar altimeter will be replaced by a newly developed laser altimeter
3) Integration if Imaging infrared seeker and a television seeker
4) A datalink associated with the radar seeker and the dual radar and infrared guidance seeker armed C-802 was added enabled the missile to receive target information provided by aircraft and this later became a standard feature.
5) the newer datalink allows the operators to alter the course of the missile and change targets after launching

The missile is\will be integrated with following PAKISTAN NAVY \AIRFORCE boats n Aircrafts

Its also integrated in F-22P for PN
Jalalat II class for PN
AWACS Shaanxi Y-8 for PAF
JF-17 for PAF

Thanks MZubair for creating the thread. I was also thinking to create a thread to discuss the JFT anti ship capabilities.

This missile can be intercepted....Because its not SuperSonic . Anything which is Not supersonic is not good. The supersonic missile i am talking about (Name classified for certain reasons but i hope you know what i am talking about) Is best missile ever created. The missile primary role is Air to Sea, Air to Ground, Air to Air, Air to Space, Space to Air, Sea to Ground, Ground to Sea, Sea to Sea, Ground to Ground, Space to space, Space to Sea, Sea to space, Ground to Space and Earth to Mars.

Just a logic someone was trying to teach me few days ago. ;)

oooops i got the joke. :cheesy:

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

This picture is from Farnborough airshow?
I was there, and i never noticed this missile..I need to improve my observation skills :)

you forget some things:P it can fire from under water to moon and moon to karachi

Okay speed is one quality that makes the missile almost impossible to intercept. (and that why DF-21 is making Americans ma$terbate their brains out). Now what is so special other than speed which makes this missile difficult to intercept? Agility and changing paths tactics? I guess it wouldn't be helpful against Gatling Guns, let the incoming intercepting missiles alone. I'm not subject specialist so tolerate if question sound stupid but I want to know why are we so sure that this beast will kill the beasts.

You guys are so lucky. Now you have two Anti ship missiles.

1. Subsonic missile C-802

2. Supersonic missile F-XX (USAF is using them as a target practice, I am sure you can use them as a supersonic missile)

:rofl::rofl:

still we never se test of c208 from jft. is there any?

lol...and according to this classified person, most major powers in the world, such as U.S., France, Germany, etc are all idiots for developing subsonic AShM over supersonic...

As for JF-17, it has its options and C-802 is obviously one of them, but depending on the customer, it may also use Exocet. Another thing to look out for is the possibility of Pakistan producing its own AShM, either through a solely indigenous effort or in a joint-venture - potentially Turkey and its Atmaca AShM. I'd imagine in the long-run Pakistan would try to acquire an AShM with 250-300km range, and this would find its way onto JF-17...

they dont have tech and power to do so sir:D

In any case, I really hope Pakistan develops & produces its own AShM. It has a seizable hold on turbojet technology, but it needs to develop that further in order to gain higher speeds as well as work on seeker technology. IMHO it should work with Turkey on its Atmaca, it's already a conceived program and we can contribute in the propulsion part of the program in return for the seeker.

Instead of one giant leap..If Pakistan continues making small improvement in all its military capabilities...we will soon narrow the gap with the competion on the east.

Agreed...Pakistan got this far through incremental advancements, and I think we've reached that point with AShM as well. Locally, we have the necessary expertise to develop our own AShM. These sorts of weapon-systems must be indigenously produced no matter what, in war we should not rely on outsiders (even China!) for such weapon-systems. We should never end up in an Argentina-type situation where someone is selling out vital information about our AAM, PGBs, AShM, ASM, etc.

All that said, I wouldn't mind seeing Pakistan develop its own GPS satellite system in the next 15-20 years either. It doesn't have to be global, but should be regional in the sense of covering all of South Asia, Central Asia & Middle East.
